Lakhvir Singh of Olivehurst Injured in Deadly Crash on Highway 20 [Sutter County, CA]

Sutter County, CA (August 7, 2024) – Lakhvir Singh, 39, of Olivehurst, was injured in a fatal head-on collision on Highway 20 Monday.

It was about 5 a.m. when the deadly crash happened west of Acacia Avenue.

Troopers said a 54-year-old man from Williams was driving an eastbound red Ford F-150 on the highway. At the same time, Singh was driving his Dodge Charger traveling west on the same road.

The Ford driver tried to pass another vehicle in front of him but did not have enough space. As a result, the Ford collided head-on with the Dodge.

Singh  and the Ford driver incurred major injuries and were transported to Adventist Health + Rideout Hospital. The driver of the Ford was declared dead at the hospital.

Troopers are investigating this collision and do not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors.
