LAKEPORT, CA – One Killed in Car Crash on Nice-Lucerne Cutoff Road

Car Strikes Guardrail ner Rodman Slough in Lakeport

 
LAKEPORT, CA (April 8, 2019) – One person was killed following a car accident Monday afternoon in Lakeport, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on Nice-Lucerne Cutoff Road near Rodman Slough.
 
Initial reports indicated a gold sedan had spun out and hit a guardrail. Paramedics responded to the scene and found one patient with major facial injuries.
 
Law enforcement officers later confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
