Intercity Transit Bus Crash in Thurston County Sends Driver to Hospital
Thurston County, WA (June 5, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon, two people were injured in a Yelm Highway 2-vehicle collision.
Responding officers stated that a car and an Intercity Transit bus have collided in the area of Waldon Drive Southeast, between Spurgeon Creek Road Southeast and Meridian Road Southeast.
According to the investigators, the Lacey man in his 40s crossed the center line and crashed into the bus. No information has been provided as to why the driver lost control.
The emergency responders needed some time for them to remove the Lacey man from the wreckage who was later flown to an area hospital. The bus driver was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
The authorities are still working on this case.
