One Dead and Three Injured in Accident near Langley Street
OAKLAND, CA (April 18, 2018) – On Wednesday morning around 10:20 AM, a fatal four-car collision took place on Doolittle Road near the Oakland International Airport.
The deceased victim was identified by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau on Wednesday evening as Kristle Jimenez of Alameda. She was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders. One other driver was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.
Each vehicle had just the driver and no other passengers inside. The victims included two women and two men. The three injured victims were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment; there is no update on their current medical condition.
Details leading up to the collision have not yet been disclosed.
Authorities closed down Doolittle between Harbor Bay Parkway and Airport Rental Drive for several hours during police investigation. Oakland Police continues to investigate the cause of this fatal collision.
