Injury Reported in Fatal Traffic Collision on Coleman Road
Churchill County, NV (August 1, 2023) On July 21, Friday, 79-year-old Kristie Jo Harmon of Fallon, died in a wrong-way crash on US-50.
According to the Nevada State Police, the fatal traffic collision happened at about 1 p.m. at US-50 and Coleman Road.
Reports say that Harmon was a passenger on an eastbound gold 2006 Toyota Avalon that crossed the center turn lane and collided with a westbound gray 2022 Ram 2500, then struck a westbound Ford F-250.
Officials say that the Toyota ended up facing east in the westbound travel lane, while the Ford faced west in the westbound travel lane.
Authorities say that the male driver of the Toyota suffered serious conditions and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the passenger Harmon was also taken to the hospital, however, she succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.
Fortunately, the other drivers escaped injuries.
