Korina Adams and Destiny Darling Killed in Pursuit Collision on East William Street [Carson City, NV]

Carson City, NV (May 4, 2023) – On April 23, Korina Adams, 27, of Reno, and Destiny Darling, 28, also of Reno, were killed in a pursuit collision on East William Street.

The traffic collision took place at about 10:04 p.m. at the intersection with North Saliman Road.

Responding officers said an orange Toyota Corolla hatchback driven by Gustavo Caldera, 26, of Sparks, with three adult female passengers, was evading Carson City Sheriff’s deputies. Caldera drove eastbound approaching the intersection.

Moreover, a black Jeep Cherokee was westbound on East William Street and making a left turn onto North Saliman Road when Caldera entered the intersection against a red light. 

As a result, the front of the Toyota struck the Jeep’s passenger side.

The responding medical team rushed the Jeep driver and Caldera along with one of his passengers to an area hospital with injuries.

Unfortunately, Korina Adams, and Destiny Darling, two of Caldera’s passengers, were declared dead at the scene.

The authorities arrested Caldera and booked him into the Carson City jail with pending charges.

Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team) is investigating this fatal collision.
