Apple Valley, CA (June 19, 2024) On Saturday evening, 27-year-old Konstanti Markrygiannis was hurt in a tragic crash on State Highway 18 that killed 28-year-old Markell Lister.

According to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, the fatal collision happened at about 7:02 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 18 and Central Road.

Reports say that the collision involved a black Audi SQ5 and an orange Ford Fiesta.

Officials say that Markrygiannis was driving an Audi that broadsided a northbound Ford, driven by Lister.

Officials say that the Ford was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light before the collision.

The impact of the crash sent the Ford rolling several times and then ended up in a dirt lot in the northeast corner of the intersection.

Medics rushed Lister to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, Markrygiannis suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash.
