Tiffany Sharda Carter Arrested after DUI Crash on South Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (March 3, 2023) – Saturday night, a 6-month-old baby died, and six others sustained injuries in a DUI crash on South Nellis Boulevard.

Subsequently, police arrested 36-year-old Tiffany Sharda Carter on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The fatal three-car crash on South Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas happened around 7:45 p.m. on February 25.

Police said the suspect drove a 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup through a red light at the intersection of Nellis and Vegas Valley.

Investigators said the pickup’s driver had been involved in a hit-and-run accident earlier at Nellis and Sahara Avenue, approaching the intersection with Valley View quickly, and failed to stop at a red light.

The pickup truck collided with two vehicles: a 2009 Toyota Corolla carrying a baby and three people, and a 2018 Nissan Rogue carrying one adult. The Toyota’s adult occupants sustained severe wounds and are still in the hospital.

Carter and the driver of the Nissan had only minor injuries.

Currently, Carter faces three counts of felony DUI with substantial bodily harm, three counts of felony reckless driving with substantial bodily harm, and a felony count of failing to stop for an accident resulting in injury or death.
