Shane Pena-Tarango of Andrews Dies in Car-Big Rig Collision on FM 1936
Goldsmith, TX (May 16, 2023) On Sunday evening, 28-year-old Kiara Reeves was hurt in a fatal crash on Highway 158 that killed 34-year-old Shane Pena-Tarango.
According to a Texas Department of Public Safety, the car-big rig collision happened at the intersection of SH 158 and FM 1936 at around 11:01 p.m.
Reports say that Pena-Tarango failed to stop at a stop sign at the crossing and collided with a big rig, the impact of the crash ejected Pena-Tarango, who was not wearing his seatbelt, out of his vehicle.
Meanwhile, Kiara Reeves who was a passenger inside Pena-Tarango’s vehicle, was taken to a hospital, she was treated and later released. The big rig diver did not sustain injuries.
