61-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies in South Decatur Boulevard, Driver Kevin Robinson Shows Signs of Impairment
Las Vegas, NV (July 14, 2020)– Kevin Robinson faces charges after a collision on South Decatur Boulevard that killed a pedestrian on Saturday.
The tragic incident occurred on July 11 on South Decatur Boulevard, north of Flamingo Road.
Just after 10 p.m., the victim, a 61-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair, was traveling across Decatur Boulevard. At the same time, Kevin Robinson, 51 was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 to south on the street.
As Robinson was closely approaching Flamingo and the pedestrian, he collided into his wheelchair. As a result, the elderly man was ejected from his vehicle and landed on the roadway.
The pedestrian was brought to UMC Trauma in a critical condition where he reportedly succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, police said Kevin Robinson was showing signs of impairment and was booked for applicable charges.
Furthermore, this fatality marked the 49th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2020.
