Officers Search for Suspect in Pierce County Deadly Accident
Pierce County, WA (November 21, 2022) – On Tuesday, Kevin Mattson, 31, father of two, lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on 9th Avenue Court South.
The fatal accident took place at about 3:07 a.m. in the area of 108th Street South.
Maggie O’Grady, the mother of Kevin Mattson, says the hospital called Tuesday saying her son had died.
Meanwhile, a video shows what looks like a man standing with a blanket on. Then, a car passed and the person was still there. A second car drives by and the person in the street was no longer visible.
Another angle of the video shows that as the car drives by, its taillights are turned on. It seemingly slowed down but did not stop.
A third car drove toward the scene. It stopped and turned down a side street. There it appeared that the person was on the ground.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department officials said they are investigating the case.
