Kemberly Portugal Injured, Cristian Zazueta Arrested in Columbia Collision
Columbia, CA (December 11, 2021) – On November 24, 36-year-old Kemberly Portugal of Stockton sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Parrotts Ferry Road Bridge.
The collision happened 8 p.m. northbound on the roadway.
Officers said 43-year-old Cristian Zazueta, also of Stockton, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger with Portugal as his passenger.
Zazueta lost control of the vehicle while he was making a right-hand curve and the vehicle overturned several times.
Portugal, who was not wearing a seatbelt at that time was thrown from the vehicle . She landed on the dirt and gravel shoulder.
Moreover, rescuers took Portugal to a Modesto hospital with major injuries.
On the other hand, the emergency responders treated Zazueta at the scene for sustained minor injuries.
After investigation, the authorities arrested Zazueta for felony DUI causing great bodily harm and placed on a $25,000 bail.
