TOPPENISH, WA (December 21, 2018) – A 21-year-old woman is fighting for her life after her vehicle struck a car and plunged into a ditch on Plank Road near Foster Road Monday.

Kelsey Walker was driving along Plank Road near Foster Road around 7 a.m. when she lost control of her white Dodge Caliber and hit an oncoming Ford F-250 pickup before veering into a ditch.

Her fiancé, Dylan Sheehan, was traveling behind her and witnessed the crash. Sheehan immediately pulled the seriously injured 21-year-old from the car and called 911. She was unconscious when she was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Per reports, she suffered a broken neck bone and brain hemorrhaging. Police believe ice and fog played a role in the crash, yet it is still too early to determine whether anyone will be cited.

A GoFundMe page was created to help raise funds for her medical costs.

To reduce the dangers of serious car accidents, keep your eyes on the road and never assume anyone is a safe driver. Watching your speed, other oncoming drivers and being alert can make a difference to your safety.
