39-Year-Old Hesperia Man Involved in DUI Collision near Eucalyptus Street

HESPERIA, CA (October 1, 2018) – A DUI driver was arrested after crashing his car into the Toys for Trucks store in the 11300 block of Hesperia Road, late Monday evening. He was later identified as 39-year-old Keith Joseph Silva of Hesperia.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 10:40 PM, near Eucalyptus Street.

Police officials stated that Silva intentionally crashed his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck several times into the business. He then got out of his truck and walked around behind the building to leave.

Witnesses said that Silva appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.

A sheriff’s helicopter responded to the scene and assisted deputies in searching for the suspect and they were unable to locate him. The owner of the business later identified Silva as his employee. Silva was arrested in the 15900 block of Smoke Tree and later booked into the High Desert Detention Center for felony vandalism. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
