Keith Glassman Dies in Car Accident in San Diego Clairemont Neighborhood

 
San Diego, CA (July 22, 2020) – On Tuesday, Keith Glassman, 58, died while 3 others were injured in a multi-crash on Genesee Avenue and Marlesta Drive.
 
Authorities received a report about a fatal multi-car crash shortly after 2:10 p.m. in the Clairemont neighborhood area.
 
Police found that the crash started with a white Dodge Durango SUV traveling south on Genessee Avenue. Just then, it crossed the yellow line and hit a coming silver Kia sedan head-on.
 
As a result, the SUV turned upside down. Then, the sedan was thrown into a smaller Kia SUV that was also heading north. Because of the impact, the second Kia then collided into a guardrail.
 
Additionally, a fourth car got involved in the wreck and ended up with rear-end damage.
 
San Diego Fire-Rescue officials extricated at least two people that were trapped inside the wreckage.
 
Moreover, Medical personnel pronounced the San Diego resident driving the silver Kia, Mr. Glassman, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the 48-year-old driver of the smaller SUV suffered spinal and sternal fractures, several lacerations and bruising to his chest and stomach area.
 
Also, the 20-year-old Dodge driver sustained a fractured left leg, broken nose, right lung contusion, and an orbital fracture. Police also mentioned of a third patient who possibly got hurt as a result of the incident.
 
Paramedics rushed both motorists to a local hospital for treatment.
 
The information of the deceased and wounded parties has not been released yet.
 
Meanwhile, authorities closed the roadway for several hours following the accident. Police continue with the investigation.
