KEENE, CA – Man Killed in Possible Pedestrian Crash at Bena Road and Caliente Bodfish Road

Dead Body Found on Bena Road in Keene

 
KEENE, CA (December 18, 2018) – A man was killed in a possible pedestrian crash Tuesday afternoon in Keene, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
 
Around 12:46 p.m., KCSO responded to a report of a deceased body on Bena Road, just West of Caliente Bodfish Road, near the area where Highway 58 and Highway 223 meet.
 
The suspicious death was initially believed to have been a fatal crash. Homicide detectives were called to the scene and assumed the investigation.
 
The victim was determined to be an adult male who suffered obvious traumatic injuries. His identity has been witheld pending notification by the Coroner’s Office.
