Kathryn Murphy Dies in Two-Car Collision on Eldora Avenue Near South Rainbow Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 13, 2020)—A two-vehicle crash on Feb. 3 along Eldora Avenue near South Rainbow Boulevard resulted in a fatality.
According to reports, authorities responded around 9:10 a.m.
Police say a 2010 Toyota Prius heading eastbound on Eldora Avenue pulled into the path of a 2019 Nissan Altima. Both vehicles then collided, causing minor to severe injuries to both drivers.
Shortly after, the 75-year-old Toyota driver, whom the Clark County Coroner’s Office identified as Kathryn Murphy of Las Vegas, died at a nearby hospital. The 26-year-old woman operating the Nissan received treatment for minor injuries.
In their preliminary investigation, police say neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the accident; however, an investigation concerning the outstanding details remains.
