1 Person Dead in Lompoc Motorcycle Accident on West Ocean Avenue and South Bailey Avenue

LOMPOC, CA (February 27, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, Katherine Hanberg was involved in a devastating motorcycle crash on West Ocean Avenue.

The incident happened at around 4:10 p.m. on West Ocean Avenue and South Bailey Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that pulled out directly into the path of the motorcyclist.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 53-year-old male motorcyclist, dead at the scene. Also, authorities confirmed that the driver of the truck identified as 83-year-old Hanberg, was not hurt in the incident.

Furthermore, the crash closed West Ocean Avenue between Floradale Avenue and V Street.
