Karla Martinez of Reno Dies in Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash near Brierley Way [Sparks, NV]

Sparks, NV (October 14, 2023) On Wednesday, September 27, Karla Martinez of Reno was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on the 1800 block of Brierley Way.

According to Sparks PD, the hit-and-run crash happened around 9:40 p.m. near Brierley Way and Vista Boulevard.

Officials say that a silver or lighter in color 2002-2005 Saturn Vue hit Martinez then fled the scene. Medics say that Martinez died due to the life-threatening injuries she suffered in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the fatal hit-and-run, and are currently searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.
