Kamal Sahni Dies, Woman and Infant Injured in Frontage Road Crash
Oakland, CA (UPDATED) – On August 22, Kamal Sahni died, and a mother and daughter both from Antioch, sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on the 1300 block of Frontage Road.
The incident happened at around 12:39 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Investigators say the driver was headed northbound on Frontage Road when the van veered off course and hit the rear of a semi-trailer parked in the road’s median center lane. The driver may have fallen asleep before the crash.
Medics transported the infant and the woman and child to a hospital while the man, Mr. Sahni, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moreover, the woman and child were both asleep when the accident happened.
Meanwhile, the truck driver was also asleep when the crash happened, and remained uninjured.
Further investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call traffic investigators at 510-777-8570.
