16-Year-Old Kaden Silveira Dies in Covington Pedestrian Accident

 
COVINGTON, WA (November 27, 2018) – Late Sunday night, a teenage boy was struck and killed by multiple cars on Highway 18.
 
The victim was identified as 16-year-old Kaden Silveira.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 10:30 p.m., near 180th Avenue Southeast. Based on the report from the troopers, the victim was lying down the roadway when he was hit. Police did not immediately know why the teen was down in the lanes.
 
The boy was pronounced dead on site by first responders.
 
Reports show that no other injuries were sustained in the incident. Following the accident, a cleanup and preliminary investigation was conducted in the area. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
 
No further information has been released to the public regarding the circumstances leading to the fatal crash, additional information will be released to the public, once it is available.
