CARMICHAEL, CA (June 29, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, a 6-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in an alleged DUI crash on Dewey Drive.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Dewey Drive and Winding Way.

According to reports, a 26-year-old Woodland woman suspected of drunk driving crashed into a concrete wall. The CHP believes that the driver was the juvenile’s mother.

Moreover, they arrested her and took her to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with major injuries. Furthermore, the police did not disclose her identity at this time.

On the other hand, responders transported the juvenile who sat in the front right seat during the incident. They took him to UC Davis Medical Center to receive treatment of his injuries.

The CHP encourages anyone who witnessed the incident to call the agency.

May this incident be a reminder for all motorists to drive responsibly. Moreover, drivers should also keep in mind that driving under the influence will lead to dangerous road accidents.
