COALINGA, CA (January 20, 2020) – A juvenile sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Sunset Street on January 16.
 
The Coalinga Police Officers came to Van Ness Avenue and Sunset Street after receiving a report of a traffic crash between a motorist and pedestrian.
 
A driver turned left from Sunset Street to Van Ness Avenue. After that, the driver hit a minor pedestrian walking across a marked crosswalk.
 
Responders took the juvenile to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Authorities advised the public to expect increased traffic enforcement in school areas and to use extreme caution.
 
They are also urging anyone with information to call the Coalinga Police Department’s Public Safety Dispatch Center at (559) 935-1525.
