Carson City Accident on Fifth Street and Saliman Street
CARSON CITY, NV (August 28, 2019) – A 13-year-old boy sustained injuries in an accident on Fifth Street and Saliman Street on August 26.
The Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies came to a vehicle crash involving a juvenile.
Authorities received a report of the crash before 7:25 p.m. According to the first responders, a 13-year-old male was breathing and alert. However, the victim sustained injuries. Authorities requested a medical helicopter to the scene.
It’s still unknown whether the juvenile rode a bicycle or walked on the street. The crash remains under investigation.
The incident stalled the traffic in the area and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
The authorities diverted the Saliman’s southbound traffic to Como.
An ambulance transported the child to Carson City Airport. Responders eventually airlifted him to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
