Justin Preston Arrested in B Street Fatal Collision [Marysville, CA]

13-Year-Old Girl Dies in Marysville Hit-and-Run Crash

Marysville, CA (January 22, 2023) – On Thursday, the authorities arrested Justin Preston, 23, of Marysville, in a B Street hit-and-run collision killing a 13-year-old girl.

The fatal accident took place Saturday at approximately 7:16 p.m., on the 1900 block area.

Responding officers said a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were struck by a vehicle that continued to drive southbound on B Street.

Immediately, the medical team provided medical attention to the victim before they were rushed to Adventist Rideout Hospital.

Unfortunately, the 13-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries on Thursday. Meanwhile, the hospital released the 15-year-old boy after medical staff treats his injuries.

Moreover, the authorities were able to locate the suspected vehicle around 2:30 p.m on the 6000 block of Viera Lane and identified Justin Preston as the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Officers transported Justin Preston to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office where he was jailed into the Yuba County Jail for a felony count of hit-and-run resulting in permanent injury or death.

In the meantime, the Marysville Police Department is investigating the Marysville hit-and-run crash. Authorities did not consider alcohol or drugs as factors in the collision at this time.
