Las Vegas Crash Kills Jun Meng, Injures Others
Las Vegas, NV (September 09, 2021) – On August 30, 33-year-old Jun Meng from Las Vegas, died in a solo vehicle crash on State Route 264.
Officers responded at the accident scene at about around 9:25 a.m. at mile marker 7.
Investigators said that a 2020 orange Jeep Wrangler, was northbound on the freeway.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle swerved across the centerline and into the southbound lane.
Then, the driver over-corrected the Jeep back into the northbound lane. The vehicle rotated and traveled onto the dirt shoulder and overturned.
Two improperly restrained male passengers in the back seat were thrown from the vehicle.
Meng, who was one of the passengers died at the scene.
Meanwhile, responders rushed the adult female driver, a woman passenger in the right front seat, and the other male passenger in the rear seat to Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop, California.
