Julio Hernandez Struck, Killed by Driver on Jefferson Avenue in Temecula

Julio Hernandez Dies in Pedestrian Collision on Jefferson Avenue Near Las Haciendas Street

 
TEMECULA, CA (January 7, 2019) – A worker placing safety cones along Jefferson Avenue near Las Haciendas Street Thursday night was fatally struck by a vehicle.
 
The incident happened in the 27900 block of Jefferson Avenue when Julio Hernandez was it hit by a car around 9:49 p.m.
 
The victim was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar but died several moments later. The driver of the vehicle that struck the Calexico man stayed at the scene and was cooperative with law enforcement. The details surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
