Juan Vega Arrested for Fatal Merced Hit-And-Run on G Street

 
MERCED, CA (January 20, 2021) – Monday night, a bicyclist suffered fatal injuries in a hit-and-run accident near 16th Street and G Street.
 
The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of G Street. When the officers arrived, they located Riggs Ambulance Service providing aid to a man in the road.
 
Meanwhile, some witnesses revealed that someone inside a car, possibly a blue or green Toyota minivan, hit the bicyclist. Then, the driver fled the scene.
 
Moreover, the authorities added that the vehicle last headed south on G Street.
 
Furthermore, they confirmed that the rider sustained major injuries. Thus, responders airlifted the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment. The victim later died due to the extent of their injuries.
 
Ultimately, police confirmed that they arrested 38-year-old Juan Vega in connection to the hit and run.
