2 People Injured in Moses Lake Pedestrian Accident on South Peninsula Drive
MOSES LAKE, WA (January 5, 2023) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Juan Jesus Martinez Ladino following a pedestrian crash on South Peninsula Drive.
The incident happened early morning on New Year’s Day on South Peninsula Drive.
According to reports, a westbound black Honda Civic accelerated and swerved into a group of people, striking two people, including one that was thrown into the air during the incident. Also, officials confirmed that the vehicle driver, Juan Jesus Martinez Ladino, was in a fight at a party.
Moreover, responders transported the two victims, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old male, to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, officers arrested Martinez Ladino for two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of hit-and-run. Also, authorities inspected the Honda and found at least two bullet holes in the back of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under active investigation.
