Juan Cruz Dead in 80 Freeway Crash Near 680 Freeway

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (January 11, 2019) – A 42-year-old West Sacramento man lost his life Saturday night following a two-vehicle crash on the 80 Freeway near the 680 Freeway interchange.
 
Juan Torrentes Cruz died when his 2015 Ford Mustang plowed into a 2015 Audi 6 around 10:55 p.m. The collision happened along the westbound side of the 80 Freeway near the northbound connector to the 680 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol.
 
The 42-year-old driver died at the scene. The motorist operating the Audi complained of pain.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and officials are seeking the public’s help in piecing together what had happened.
