Juan Barajas Dies in Los Angeles Airport Construction Site Accident

Los Angeles, CA (May 9, 2020)– On Saturday morning, reports surfaced of a collapsed construction site at LAX that killed father and husband Juan Barajas.

The airport’s interim CEO Justin Erbacci called the police at around 6 a.m. on May 9. Dispatched officers arrived and found the victim down on the scene.

Reportedly, the construction worker was assigned for the airport’s automated people mover when a steel column accidentally collapsed. However, what lead to this accident is still unspecified.

Due to the extent of the injuries Mr. Barajas sustained, paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene. Moreover, his family has since set up a GoFundMe page to help cover his funeral expenses.

Furthermore, the airport’s project is shut down for two days while the police and the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health investigate the cause of the accident.
