Drunk Hesperia Man Causes Injury in 2-Vehicle Crash on 14 Freeway
Newhall, CA (May 10, 2024) On Wednesday evening, CHP arrested 31-year-old Josue Zavaleta after a suspected DUI crash on the 14 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the alleged DUI Crash happened at about 7:20 p.m. on Highway 14 at Escondido Canyon Road.
Reports say that a Kia sedan and a Volkswagen SUV were involved in the crash.
Investigating officers signs of alcohol intoxication with one of the drivers, later identified as Zavaleta. Officials booked Zavaleta to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for felony DUI.
Meanwhile, the other parties were hurt in the collision. Authorities did not disclose the severity of injuries sustained.
CHP is investigating the 2-vehicle crash and has not released further information at this time.
