38-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured after Hitting Parked Car Near Interstate 70
MESA COUNTY, CO (February 3, 2018) – A 38-year-old man was killed after a car accident on Highway 65 near Interstate 70 on Saturday morning.
Around 8 AM, Joshua Sinclair was driving a pickup truck in the northbound lane of the 65 near milepost 60, when he crossed the southbound lane and struck a car that was parked on the shoulder. Both vehicles rolled after the collision, according to Patrol Trooper Dan Chermok.
Sinclair was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No one was in the parked car, and no other injuries were reported in the fatal incident.
The accident reconstruction team was working on the crash, and officials were investigating to find out the cause of the accident. Colorado Department of Transportation was directing traffic in the area until it was cleared up.
