2 Dead in Pleasanton Car Crash
PLEASANTON, CA (April 23, 2020) – Early Friday morning, a car crash on 680 Freeway killed two men in Pleasanton.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau identified the two deceased victims as 21-year-old Joshua Nampraseut and 22-year-old Jeremi Hanks.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal car crash occurred on April 17 at around 2:16 a.m. in the southbound lanes of 680 Freeway near Bernal Avenue.
Reports from the police revealed that as a 1996 Lexus sedan traveled on the road, for unidentified causes, the vehicle strayed from the lane. It then collided with a semi-truck.
The impact of the crash ejected Joshua Nampraseut and Jeremi Hanks from the car. When the responding authorities arrived at the crash scene, they declared the two men dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the police also confirmed that the driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
To determine the cause of the deadly crash on 680 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol is currently handling the investigation.
