Joshua Hatfield Killed in Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash on Shaw Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Tracy Slocum and Latray Magano Arrested in Hit-and-Run Accident on Willow Avenue

Fresno, CA (October 19, 2023) On Wednesday morning, 23-year-old Joshua Hatfield of Fresno died after a disastrous hit-and-run crash on Shaw Avenue.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection with Willow Avenue.

Reports say that Hatfield was crossing the road on an electric scooter when 35-year-old Tracy Slocum of Fresno driving a small SUV struck the man.

Officials say that Hatfield was rushed to the hospital, however, he succumbed to the fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Meanwhile, officials say that the SUV initially stopped on Willow Avenue, however, as officers approached the vehicle, the passenger got into the driver’s seat and fled the scene.

Authorities were able to catch the 2nd driver a moment later, but officials say that the original driver, Slocum, arrived in another vehicle.

Police arrested Slocum and 35-year-old Latray Magano in connection to the hit-and-run. Both were booked into Fresno County Jail for felony hit and run.
