Big Rig Crash on I-90 Injures Ellensburg Man

Snoqualmie Pass, WA (May 14, 2022) – On Friday, Joseph Stygar, 59, of Marysville, was involved in a semi-truck crash on Interstate 90 injuring a 34-year-old Ellensburg man.

Officers say Joseph Stygar was driving a westbound semi-truck on the freeway when he lost control. The vehicle jackknifed and blocked three of the four lanes.

Suddenly, the 2014 Ford Focus driven by the Ellensburg man struck the big rig.

The medical rescuers took the Ellensburg man to Overlake Hospital with injuries.

Moreover, Stygar did not sustain injuries in the collision. The state patrol says he was speed driving for road conditions.

When behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you. Moreover, it is important to always drive within the posted speed limit. Also, slow down if you see traffic stalling ahead to avoid hitting other vehicles.
