Injuries Reported in Fatal Collision on Highway 95
Tonopah, NV (November 15, 2022) On November 2, 82-year-old Joseph Stengel died after a multi-vehicle collision on US 95.
Reports say that the collision involved a gray Nissan SUV, a blue Dodge Ram pick-up, and a blue smart car.
Officials say that the northbound Nissan attempted to pass another vehicle, entered the southbound lane. Consequently, this placed the Nissan directly in the path of the southbound smart car.
The Nissan driver was not able to go back to the northbound lane, and the SUV struck the left side of the smart car.
Authorities say that the impact of the crash caused the smart car to spin and end up in the center lane oh the southbound lane, where the Dodge pickup hit the car.
NHP pronounced the smart car driver 82-year-old Joseph Stengel dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver did not suffer injuries, while the Dodge driver suffered minor injuries.
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal collision.
