Multiple Injuries Sustained in Napa Auto Accident on Highway 121 near Stanley Lane

NAPA, CA (March 26, 2023) – Friday morning, a traffic crash on Highway 121 near Stanley Lane left Joseph Pina Jr and others distraught.

The incident started at around 6:20 a.m. when a Pontiac rear-ended a GMC Yukon on Highway 121 near Stanley Lane.

According to California Highway Patrol spokesperson Jaret Paulson, multiple bystanders pulled over to help the victims of the crash.

Moments later, a 2017 Colorado Chevy pickup truck struck the driver’s side of Pontiac. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Pontiac and struck bystanders helping at the scene.

Moreover, responders transported the Pontiac driver, 68-year-old Joseph Pina Jr., and two others to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. Also, authorities confirmed that the incident involved a total of eight people. The parties included the three people who were hospitalized and additional victims who complained of pain injuries but did not require additional treatment.

Furthermore, officers reported no arrests as of this time.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
