Joseph Pavlics Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 43rd Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (October 20, 2023) – 86-year-old Joseph Pavlics was fatally struck by a vehicle on 43rd Avenue Thursday afternoon.

The authorities responded to the crash scene at about 1:30 p.m. in the area of Bell Road. 

Officers located Joseph Pavlics lying on the road and declared him dead.

Moreover, the driver of the van involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Officers believe Pavlics either fell onto Bell Road or was trying to cross it when he was struck by the vehicle while turning onto Bell Road from a private driveway.

Officers are investigating.
