SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 3, 2020) – Early on Monday, Joseph Mendivil died in a crash on Lynnwood Drive, and police arrested Toniyo Atkinson for DUI.
 
The incident occurred at around 2:14 a.m. on Lynnwood Drive and Mountain Avenue.
 
San Bernardino resident Joseph Mendivil was driving when 42-year-old Toniyo Atkinson of San Bernardino collided with him.
 
According to San Bernardino Police Department officials, Toniyo Atkinson drove an SUV.
 
The crash happened as a result of SUV broadsiding the Honda Accord.
 
Furthermore, the impact of the crash left Mr. Mendivil, 37, with fatal injuries.
