27-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Truck near Lake Jennings Park Road
EL CAJON, CA (July 5, 2018) – A man was killed early Thursday morning after he was hit by a truck on Highway 8 Business Loop. The deceased victim was later identified as 27-year-old Joseph Adams. His place of residence is unknown.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at about 4:00 AM, near Lake Jennings Park Road. Adams appeared to be standing in the middle of the road when a passing truck struck him.
The victim sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. The truck operator stayed at the scene to cooperate with investigators; his identity was not immediately available. An investigation is ongoing to determine liability in the deadly accident and identify possible contributing factors.
