Jose Villegas Olvera of Yucaipa Dies in Vehicle Crash on Rialto Avenue [San Bernardino, CA]

San Bernardino, CA (December 14, 2021) – On Sunday, a 64-year-old Yucaipa man, Jose Villegas Olvera, and a 34-year-old Highland resident, Bobby Ray Foster, lost their lives in a vehicle crash on Rialto Avenue.

Investigators said Olvera was eastbound on Rialto Avenue from Meridian Avenue. 

At the same time, a 1997 Mercedes-Benz driven by Foster was traveling at a high rate of speed.

As a result, Foster lost control of his vehicle. It crossed the double yellow line and went directly into the path of the Honda.

The Civic broadsided the Mercedes. Then, the Mercedes was split in half. Foster was ejected to the roadway.

Moreover, the authorities believed that alcohol played a role in the incident.
