LONG BEACH, CA (April 9, 2023) – Friday afternoon, authorities arrested Jose Trujillo after a deadly hit-and-run crash near 45th Way and Atlantic Avenue.

The incident happened at around 3:15 p.m. near 45th Way and Atlantic Avenue.

According to reports, a 2011 Ford F-150 struck a pedestrian and two parked vehicles for still unknown reasons. Then, the Ford driver fled the scene after the collision.

Moreover, responders rushed the male pedestrian to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect near Rose Avenue and 56th Street. Authorities confirmed that the suspect, Jose Trujillo, will face charges including murder, drunk driving causing bodily injury, and hit and run resulting in death or injury.
