Jose Perez Leyva Killed in San Jose Accident on Highway 101

 
SAN JOSE, CA (September 16, 2020) – Tuesday morning, 22-year-old Jose Perez Leyva died in a big rig crash on Highway 101 in San Jose.
 
Moreover, the crash between a big rig and a car occurred at 1:18 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, near the Tully Road onramp.
 
As a result, the authorities issued a SigAlert that shut down four right lanes of the highway. Meanwhile, the far left lane remained open by 1:50 a.m.
 
Authorities later reported that Jose Perez Leyva crashed his 2017 Honda Accord into the rear of a semi-truck.
 
Moreover, the semi truck driver, a 40-year-old Hollister male, did not report any injuries.
 
Furthermore, by 3:12 p.m., the authorities canceled the SigAlert and all lanes of Highway 101 were reopened.
