50-Year-Old Las Vegas Man Seriously Hurt in DUI Collision on South Fort Apache
Las Vegas, NV (March 20, 2023) On Friday evening, 32-year-old Jose Hilasaca-Vilcasan of Las Vegas was arrested after a DUI crash on West Pebble Road.
LVMPD says that the DUI collision happened at the intersection with South Fort Apache Road at around 11:27 p.m.
Reports say that the the crash seriously hurt a 50-year-old man from Las Vegas, who was driving a 2009 Acura TSX Acura at the time of the crash.
Officials say that Hilasaca-Vilcasan was on a westbound 2022 Toyota Tacoma that ran a stop sign and collided with the Acura.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off to a dirt lot. The victim was trappd inside the wreck, Clark County Fire Fighters extricated the 50-year-old man out of his vehicle.
Authorities say that the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to UMC Trauma.
Meanwhile, Jose Hilasaca-Vilcasan sustained minor injuries and was asked to take Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Officials confirmed that Hilasaca-Vilcasan failed the tests.
Police arrested Hilasaca-Vilcasan and booked him into Clark County Detention Center.
LVMPD is investigating the DUI collision on South Fort Apache Road and has not released further details.
