Jose Gutierrez Dead, 3 Injured in Desert Hot Springs Car Crash

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (December 20, 2018) – Thursday afternoon, a 73-year-old man identified as Jose Gutierrez was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Palm Drive.

Desert Hot Springs Police Department stated the accident occurred around 3:15 PM near the intersection of Camino Idilio and Palm Drive.

First responders arrived and transported all four occupants to the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. About in hour later, it was reported that Gutierrez succumbed to his injuries and died.

It is unknown if Gutierrez was a passenger or driver in the crash. The identity and medical status of the other victims has not been disclosed.

At this time, is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors, no more details regarding the accident have been disclosed to the public.
