16-year-old Man Killed in Yucaipa Car Accident on Highway 38
YUCAIPA, CA (May 18, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, 16-year-old Jose Gutierrez-Ibarra died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 38.
The California Highway Patrol identified Jose Gutierrez-Ibarra of Beaumont as a passenger in a car that crashed at 5:21 p.m. on Highway 38, south of Warm Springs Truck Road.
When the authorities arrived to the crash scene, they immediately pronounced Jose Gutierrez-Ibarra dead.
Due to a lack of details, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Crews closed the surrounding area on Highway 38 and Warm Springs Truck Road off for a brief time during cleanup and the preliminary investigation.
However, the roadway’s since reopened to traffic.
CHP is still seeking more leads as they continue to investigate the fatal crash on Highway 38.
