BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 22, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, Jose Garcia-Cerron was killed and seven others suffered injuries in an auto accident on Fairfax Road.

The California Highway Patrol revealed that the deadly crash occurred on South Fairfax Road and East Bear Mountain Boulevard intersection, just before 5:45 a.m.

According to the police reports, a 2007 Dodge Caliber’s driver was traveling south on South Fairfax Road. As he prepared to enter Highway 223, a second driver of a 2002 Chevy Suburban was driving west on Highway 223, near South Fairfax Road.

The Dodge failed to notice the approaching Chevy when the driver accelerated into the intersection. The impact caused the Chevy to overturn and land on the right dirt shoulder.
