Jose Feliz Rodriguez Injured in Fatal Crash on US Highway 380 [Denton County, TX]

Denton County, TX (June 17, 2025) – 33-year-old Jose Feliz Rodriguez was hurt in a horrific crash on US Highway 380 that claimed 2 lives.

According to authorities, the fatal collision happened at around 6:44 a.m. near County Road 4011.

Reports say that the tragic two-vehicle crash claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Authorities say that a 1994 blue Ford F-150 attempted to cross the highway from County Road 4011 and entered the path of a 2005 Freightliner towing a trailer.

The Freightliner struck the pickup, jack-knifed, and overturned into the highway median. The Ford pickup veered off the road and came to rest on the grass shoulder.

The crash killed 13-year-old Nolan Christensen at the scene. His sister, 16-year-old Sofia Christensen, who was driving the pickup, later died at Medical City Denton. Their 12-year-old sibling, Ella Christensen, sustained injuries and was transported to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.

The Freightliner’s driver, 33-year-old Jose Feliz Rodriguez, suffered minor injuries.

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety are continuing to investigate the collision.
