Jose Elizalda of Hesperia Involved in Fatal Crash on Bear Valley Road [Hesperia, CA]

Hesperia, CA (April 26, 2023) On Monday evening, 52-year-old Jose Elizalda of Hesperia was involved in a fatal pedestrian crash on Bear Valley Road.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the deadly pedestrian collision happened around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection with Second Avenue.

Reports say that Elizalda was on an eastbound Lexus I250 that struck a female pedestrian crossing Bear Valley Road. Officials pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Jose Elizalda stayed at the scene and officials say that he was not showing signs of impairment at the time of the crash.

Consequently, the pedestrian collision resulted in another crash, as another vehicle attempting to avoid the pedestrian was rear-ended by another vehicle, causing the struck vehicle to roll over. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in said crash.

Authorities are investigating the deadly pedestrian collision and have not released further information at this time.
